It’s hard to believe that Spring has almost passed us by, and that we are already moving into summer! It seems like only yesterday that the nursery was empty, and we were outside in winter weather unloading our first trucks of the season! It was a GREAT spring here at Meadows Farms Frederick. The weather was mostly agreeable with very few cold days! We had just enough rain to keep the plants healthy and looking good! We added some new faces to our staff this spring, and welcomed back many old ones. We have a great team here at Frederick, with knowledgeable staff members, that are always ready to help you to “Plant A little Happiness”! With the closing of our Germantown location, we have welcomed a lot of new customers to Meadows Farms Frederick this Spring as well. We are happy to have you and glad to be your new Meadows Farms location. Thank you to everyone who has come out this spring, new and old alike, and we hope to be able to keep serving you for many years to come!
Summer is still an exciting time here at Meadows Farms. We will be kicking off the summer with our Memorial Day sale, and Free Hot dogs on Memorial Day Monday! We have some great kids crafts planned throughout the summer, and a workshop for adults to make and take one of our “grab-n-go” planters. Please refer to the events schedule for a list of all our summer activities.
Summer is still a good time to plant in our region; you just must be diligent about the watering through the hot weather. We will still have a HUGE selection of outdoor trees and shrubs, and we will continue to bring in fresh annuals and perennials all summer long. Whether you need to freshen up some container gardens, re-plant some vegetables the neighbor’s dog dug up, or start a whole new landscape project, Meadows Farms will have everything you need all summer long.
